Searching for happiness?

Most mornings I get down to the sea, meet a few friends, have a dip in the cold Irish sea - yes it goes from Cold to Colder throughout the year - we have a good laugh at one another, with each other and we leave the beach with a smile on our face - not it's not grimace, it is a smile - and freezing feet.

Happiness can be an elusive thing.

For many is the Holy Grail.

Need to happy all the time?

How do I do that?

I am currently doing a course on the Science of Happiness and I can tell you it's not that straightforward - happiness, not the course, that is.

The course is fine!

This morning I met a gentleman that has just sold his company after having built it and run it for the past 32 years.

Whilst I don't know the details, I know that it was a transaction that has left him very comfortable, financially.

"Don't need much money to hike the Wicklow Hills", were his parting words as we said goodbye after sharing a coffee and me listening to his account of the business deal.

I turned around to my "now defrosted" friends.

The banter was great.

The coffee good and hot.

The happiness palpable.

They are happy.

It makes me happy.

Happy Friday.

Success is not the key to Happiness.

Happiness is the key to Success.
